This bird is simply amazing, with their elegant colors of black and white, with a nice streak of dark blue and a colorful tail when the light hits it right. Like their name implies they live in Eurasia and they are quite common too. This is one of my favorite birds and I hope that at the end of this article it’s yours too.
They eat just about anything; u see them hopping around the roadside or in grasslands or in cities looking for anything even remotely edible. They eat everything from bugs to McDonalds, even though the bugs are better for them than that McDonalds is, makes you think.
They built giant fortresses of nests. They are basically giant balls of twigs with even a false entrance to fuck with other birds. No one is touching those babies inside. Sometimes they even rip up those anti-bird spikes and use them for their own nests. They built a fucking crazy metal nest, they’re nuts. Talking about nuts (and I should’ve said this at the food part but whatever) sometimes when they find things like walnuts, they drop them on the road so cars drive over them so they open. They are so smart.
In their youth they usually hang out with a gang of other magpies so they can learn the ropes of being a cool ass bird. This is probably because they are so intelligent that they need some extra time to learn everything. They know how to use tools and they’re not only practically intelligent. They also know emotions. They sometimes even grieve when a fellow bird dies.
This truly one of the greatest birds of all time, so pretty, so smart, so amazing. I love them
